These terms describe your use of Pacemax and its running services. Pacemax is responsible for its service and support. Contact mukombambia@gmail.com with questions. Your App Store app license is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, linked below; these service terms do not replace it.
Using Pacemax
Pacemax helps you hold a chosen running pace with voice or vibration guidance and review recorded runs. An account and active Pro access are required to start a new tracked run. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in account secure and for using only accounts you are authorized to access.
Use the app lawfully. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access to another person's information or misrepresent ownership of a purchase. Only share photos and other material you have the right to use. You retain rights to the content you provide; Pacemax processes it to provide the features you request.
Community conduct
Post only content you have the right to share. Do not post harassment, threats, hateful or sexually exploitative content, spam, or material that encourages unsafe conduct. Respect other runners' privacy and do not impersonate another person. Post to feed is on by default in run review; turn it off before finishing if you want that run to stay private.
You can report a runner, post, comment or squad message through its options, block a runner, remove your posts and delete your comments. Manage blocked runners in Settings or Find runners. Post authors can remove comments on their posts. Pacemax may remove content or suspend community access for misuse. Reports are private and a report receipt does not mean moderation has already occurred. Contact mukombambia@gmail.com for support or concerns about community content.
Running safely and measurement limits
Choose a pace appropriate for your ability, health and surroundings. Stay aware of traffic and other hazards, and stop exercising if you feel unwell. Pacemax provides fitness information, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency assistance.
GPS, motion readings and guidance can be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. A quiet app can mean you are on target or that fresh measurements are unavailable. Do not rely on a cue as a safety signal or on a recorded measurement as a guaranteed result.
Recording requires the requested location access. Locking the screen can allow recording to continue, but force-quitting the app, turning off the phone or operating-system restrictions can interrupt delivery. Missing readings do not produce measured distance. Pause and Finish are explicit controls; reaching a distance goal does not automatically finish a run.
Subscriptions and billing
The purchase screen shows the offered plan, billing period, localized price and any applicable introductory terms before you buy. Apple charges your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your Apple subscription settings before renewal. Manage or cancel through the Manage Subscription action below.
Free trials and introductory offers are available only when Apple confirms eligibility. Unless canceled before the offer ends, an eligible offer continues at the subscription price and period disclosed at purchase. An introductory offer may be paid rather than free; read its terms before confirming.
Deleting the app, signing out or deleting your Pacemax account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel through Apple if you do not want it to renew. Access normally continues for the remainder of the paid period after cancellation, subject to Apple's transaction status. Refund requests are handled through Apple and any rights provided by applicable law.
Use Restore Purchases on the Pro plan screen with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Restoration and account setup may require a connection. A failed or pending payment does not guarantee access. A subscription change does not intentionally stop an already recorded active or paused run from being finished.
Your records and privacy
Runs are saved on your iPhone. Completed runs, available route coordinates and selected run attachments are automatically uploaded to your account when you are signed in and connected, after any active or paused run ends. There is no in-app backup toggle; previously saved route-backup exclusions remain respected. Post to feed controls community publication separately from account backup. Cloud backup can be delayed or fail, so a local save is not proof that another device can restore it. Uninstalling the app or losing your device may remove data that has not been backed up.
Pacemax uses PostHog for selected onboarding and product-use analytics and Sentry for error and performance monitoring, including automatic masked screen replay around errors when diagnostics is enabled. These services may receive account-linked identifiers, app/device context and the limited activity information described in the Privacy Policy. There is no in-app analytics, diagnostics or replay toggle. The Privacy Policy explains masking, excluded data, provider processing, retention and privacy requests.
Pacemax no longer connects to Apple Health or reads or writes new Apple Health data. Previously imported workouts may remain on your iPhone. The Privacy Policy explains account information, run measurements, automatic uploads, service providers, retention and deletion. Sharing an image sends it to the destination you select; that destination's terms and privacy practices apply.
Ending use and deleting your account
You may stop using Pacemax at any time. Sign Out ends local access while preserving saved runs on that iPhone. To remove your account and its associated records, use Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or Account → Delete Account on the Pro plan screen after account setup; a subscription purchase is not required. Deletion is permanent and may require an internet connection to finish. If setup fails before you can reach that control, contact mukombambia@gmail.com for help with deletion.
Cancel any Apple subscription separately. Account deletion does not delete images already shared, original Apple Health workouts or offline copies on other devices. The Privacy Policy explains these limits and the treatment of records that must be retained.
Availability and your rights
Pacemax may need maintenance or updates, and some features rely on Apple, Google, Superwall or other service providers. We cannot promise uninterrupted service, perfect measurement accuracy or a particular training outcome. Contact support when a paid feature is unavailable.
Apple's Standard End User License Agreement sets out the app license and applicable warranty and liability terms. Nothing in these service terms removes consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Apple is not responsible for providing Pacemax customer support.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies this version, and material changes requiring notice will be communicated before they take effect. Purchase-specific terms shown by Apple govern the transaction you confirm.
